Last week, IDW Limited put out a bunch of hardcover books collecting their My Little Pony comic series. As with other IDW Limited offerings, the books come in Red, Blue, and Black label editions, but this time they also have variations based on each of the six main ponies. So depending on which edition and pony you choose, you'll get a variety of original art and stuff tailored around that particular pony. All this to say that I drew some sketch cards that will be included with the Red Label editions. I drew 54 cards in total, nine for each pony. To keep things simple (and keep my sanity), I drew six unique designs - one for each pony - and based the nine cards for each given pony on the same design, with slight variations to make every card unique.
Enough math. Here's a look at the cards.
My little girl is two, and she's into My Little Pony right now. She learned the names of all the superhero toys in my studio pretty much from the first day she could talk, so it was nice to be able to switch it up and take interest in a cartoon property that belongs more to her than to her adult father. There are so few.
